FAQ
How much does a session cost?
To find the price of a session, simply click on the session you are interested in. Select 'More Info' on the page of the session. All practical details, including the price, can be found under the section 'Investment & Support'.
Pricing varies based on the duration of each session. Because my sessions are uniquely tailored, both the length and the rate will differ.
Are there any discounts available?
Yes, I offer a 10% discount for the categories listed below. You can select this option in the registration form (no questions asked):
-
Students under 26
-
First-time participants of SwingConnect
-
People currently unemployed
-
People on 50–100% medical leave
Can I wait until the day before a session to register?
It is better not to wait. To ensure a high-quality experience, my sessions are limited to a maximum of 5 or 6 couples.
However, I also require a minimum of 3 couples for a session to take place. If there are not enough registrations one week before the scheduled date, the session will be canceled and all payments will be fully refunded.
If you are interested, I recommend booking early to secure your spot and ensure the session goes ahead.
I’m interested, but the dates don’t work for me.
This is valuable information! Please let me know you are interested by contacting me via email or WhatsApp. I can add you to my interest list and I often schedule future sessions based on demand.
Do I need a fixed partner?
Yes. The Focus Sessions are designed to facilitate a "deep dive" into your dancing. This exploration is most effective when working with a partner you already know, trust, and enjoy dancing with. To maintain this focus and consistency, we do not rotate partners during most sessions.
What dance level do I need?
SwingConnect works with an Open Level concept. To participate, you should have a minimum level of experience and feel comfortable with Lindy Hop basics, such as 6- and 8-counts, send-outs, and change places.
Advanced dancers are very welcome too! Because of the individual guidance provided, each session is as challenging as you want it to be. I will meet you wherever you are in your dance journey and tailor the exercises and feedback to your specific process.
What language is used during the sessions?
Sessions are primarily taught in English, though feedback can be provided in Dutch. However, if all participants are Dutch speakers, the session will be conducted in Dutch.
How accessible are the locations?
-
Parking: There is free parking available at all session locations.
-
Public Transport: Buses run regularly from the station to the complex. The trip takes between 16–21 minutes, depending on the specific location.
-
By Bike: All locations are easily accessible by bike and are located a maximum of 10 minutes from the city center.
I need to cancel my registration.
The cancellation policy is included in every registration of a session. By registering, you agree to these conditions.
-
If the organizer cancels: You will receive a full refund.
-
If you cannot attend: You may sell your spot to a friend or another couple. Please notify me by email regarding who will be taking your place.
-
Medical conditions: A 50% refund is available upon providing an official doctor’s note.
-
Other reasons: No refunds are possible due to the limited and small-scale nature of these sessions.
Can I get food or drinks at the venue?
Yes, you can refill your water bottle for free with filtered tap water at all sports complexes. Some locations also have vending machines available for other drinks. Please note that there is no cafeteria on-site, so we recommend bringing your own snacks if needed.

"Each session zooms in on one
specific theme, giving plenty of space to deepen the fundamentals and your partner connection.
The feedback is consistently supportive and encouraging. From the very start I felt safe to ask questions, experiment, and make mistakes."
